Shooting leaves one dead in Aldergrove

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is on scene.

ALDERGROVE (NEWS 1130) – One man is dead after a shooting in Aldergrove.

It happened in the area of 264th Street and 56th Avenue Tuesday night. Video from the scene shows what appears to be a man lying outside the door of a McDonald’s in the area, the restaurant’s windows shattered.

This all unfolded after 8:00 p.m., and a burned-out SUV was found a short time later in southwest Abbotsford. It’s become an all-too-familiar scenario, but investigators have not confirmed if this death is related to organized crime.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called in and has taken over the case.

On Wednesday morning, several Langley RCMP cruisers could still be seen at every entrance to the small business park where the shooting victim was found in.

Investigators are expected to be on scene for several hours.

IHIT says this appears to be a targeted incident.

This is a developing story and will be updated as new information is received
