VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A terrifying robbery at UBC in Vancouver has left a woman shaken, but physically okay.
The University RCMP says she was apparently carjacked on Tuesday, at gunpoint.
Mounties are now looking for the stolen vehicle, as well as two suspects responsible for what it calls a “brazen daylight robbery.”
Officers got reports that a vehicle had been stolen at gunpoint just before 6:30 p.m. The woman was apparently walking to her car on the 10th floor of the West Parkade at 2140 Lower Mall when two suspects approached her.

“One produced a small handgun and demanded her keys,” police say. “The victim complied and was not injured. The suspects fled in the vehicle.”
The incident now has some students on edge.
“Classes went until 9:00 p.m., and it is kind of dangerous, there’s no cameras or anything,” one female student tells NEWS 1130.
“It kind of makes sense,” another woman says. “There’s no security cameras in the parkade.”
The first suspect is described as a south Asian man, who is about six feet tall with a slim build. He was wearing a grey hoodie with the hood up, and black jogging pants.
The man was carrying a palm-sized handgun.
The second suspect is described as a darker skinned man of unknown ethnicity. He was wearing a dark, long-sleeved shirt and pants at the time.
Police are also hoping you can help them find the Grey 2007 Kia Spectra with B.C. License Plate 308-PSG that was reportedly taken.
If you see this car, you’re asked to not approach and to call 9-1-1 right away.
