Third shooting in less than 24 hours reported in Vancouver

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – It’s been a violent 24 hours on the Downtown Eastside — there are reports of yet another shooting.
This is the third report of shots being fired in about 15 hours.

Footage from the scene shows several Vancouver Police cruisers on Hastings Street near Abbott Street, just outside the Grand Union Hotel.
According to reports, a TV crew heard gunshots and called 911. The victim has been taken to hospital, and so far no arrests have been made.

One person was taken to hospital on Sunday after shots rang out around 4:00 p.m. in the area of East Hastings Street and East Pender Street, between Main Street and Jackson Avenue. Then, just before 6:00 p.m. the VPD received calls about more gunfire — this time near Abbott and Pender, near International Village.
There’s no word yet if the incidents are all connected.
