Pair of shootings in East Vancouver send two men to hospital

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — A pair of early morning shootings in Vancouver have sent two men to hospital with serious injuries Sunday.

The two shootings don’t appear to be connected, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

“The shootings appear unrelated, however VPD investigators think they were targeted and believe there may be people with information to share with police.”

The first took place around midnight, near Kingsway and Gladstone in East Vancouver, where a 44-year-old man was shot multiple times outside of a restaurant.

The second was around East Hastings Street and Heatley Avenue at 4:30 a.m. The victim is a 35-year-old man from Surrey.
