Search team in Mission looking for Canuck the Crow

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A search team is descending on Mission Sunday, after possible sightings of Canuck the Crow who has been missing for a month.

According to a Facebook post by Canuck’s human friend Shawn Bergman, a crow that looks and acts like the infamous bird was reported in Mission Saturday.

While the bird isn’t wearing a foot tag it’s been approaching people, even landing on one woman and pecking at her food.

An anonymous group is offering a reward of 10-thousand dollars for Canuck’s safe return.

When the crow was missing in late August, Bergman told News 1130, “I am extremely worried about him. This is not like him. He hasn’t gone off on any multiple day adventures for over two years so I’m having a really, really hard time just believing that he’s just out there being a crow. He tends to stick to the area, so I’m pretty worried about him and I’m just hoping if anyone sees him to please let me know. If you see him anywhere just let me know.”

The crow made international headlines back in 2016, after he stole a knife from a Vancouver crime scene.
