Hail spotted as strong storm cells move over Surrey, White Rock

WHITE ROCK (NEWS 1130) — People in White Rock or South Surrey Thursday afternoon were caught in some wild weather.

Listeners calling into NEWS 1130 tell us they spotted some falling out of the sky. Hail was even spotted in New West and on Burnaby Mountain. It was mixed with rain and later rainbows.

NEWS 1130 Meteorologist Michael Kuss says strong storm cells were producing hail in South Surrey. The storm cells were also active around the Tri-Cities.

Isolated showers and thundershowers will pop up Thursday afternoon and into the evening.
