Grouse Mountain, North Shore gets a light dusting of snow

NORTH SHORE (NEWS 1130) – Winter made a brief visit to Grouse Mountain Tuesday morning, dusting areas of the North Shore in the first snowfall of the season.

Grouse Mountain posted photos and videos on social media showing a brief spattering of snowflakes dusting the resort.

“I spy with my little eye the first flurries of the season,” reads a tweet from the resort.

Meantime, NEWS 1130 meteorologist Micheal Kuss says showers are tracking south off the North Shore, with rain hitting some areas in the early afternoon.

And while the snow has stopped for now, it’s looking like winter is heading into B.C.’s interior.

More snow is expected today for the Coquihalla and the Okanagan connector — between five and 10 centimetres.

If you plan on making the drive there, you’ll need to remember your snow tires.
