Man suspected of stealing, crashing police cruiser in Richmond charged

RICHMOND (NEWS 1130) – Police believe they have found the person responsible for stealing a police cruiser and crashing into three other vehicles in Richmond on Monday.

Mummad Farid, 40, is facing one charge of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, and one charge of flight from a police officer. The charges haven’t been proven in court.

A woman is still in the hospital after she was hurt when her vehicle collided with the stolen police car. She has serious but non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover.
