Violent offender arrested in Vancouver

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Police in Vancouver have arrested a high risk offender who disappeared from his halfway house last week.

James Larry Moyah, 45, was arrested Thursday on the Downtown Eastside after someone spotted him and called 911.

Moyah had left his halfway house and did not return on Oct. 18. He has a history of violence and substance abuse, and is out on statutory release for aggravated assault. He was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

Officers had warned the public not to approach him. The Vancouver Police Department is thanking the public for their help locating Moyah.
