Elderly man on scooter hit at Cloverdale crosswalk expected to recover

SURREY (NEWS 1130) – The elderly man who was hurt when his mobility scooter was hit by a pickup truck at a crosswalk in Cloverdale over the weekend is expected to be okay.

Surrey RCMP says the man is in stable condition in the hospital. Initially, the man was reported to have serious and potentially life-threatening injuries.

Investigators are still trying to figure out what exactly happened at 177 B Street and Highway 10 around 11 a.m. Saturday morning.
