Do you have radon in your home? November is Radon Action Month

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – We’re all aware of the dangers of smoke – and you may also have a carbon monoxide alarm in your home – but have you given much thought to radon?

A group of health organizations – including the Canadian Cancer Society – is set to launch Radon Action Month in November, and wants you to be aware.

It’s pushing for you to have your home tested, noting the radioactive gas has no smell, taste, or colour.

It can end up getting trapped inside and build up.

The organizations say radon is the leading cause of cancer in people who don’t smoke.
