VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – This week’s winner in Vancouver’s Worst Commute contest starts her day at 5:30 a.m.

Danielle Bronson, 29, works in Coal Harbour but lives in Langley. She wakes up early to take her dog for a walk before beginning her long commute.

“I begin with a drive, about 20 minutes, and then I hop on the West Coast Express in Maple Ridge. Then I have a 45 minute train ride into the city, at which point I transfer onto the SkyTrain for one stop,” she says. “Then I walk about 15 or 20 minutes to my office in Coal Harbour.”

Danielle says it takes her about 3 hours and 30 minutes in total each day for her travels.

She gets $500 for her epic back-and-forth commute, thanks to our partners at Toyo Tires. NEWS 1130 would like to thank everyone who submitted an entry.

Cash prizes are awarded every Friday through November 15. And not to worry, if you don’t win the cash, you still qualify for our grand prize of an all-inclusive Sunwing Vacation for two to Punta Cana, complete with return airfare and seven-nights accommodation at the Riu Naiboa Hotel and Resort.
