Multiple SeaBus sailings cancelled Sunday due to transit job action

16 sailings between Vancouver and North Vancouver have been cancelled

SeaBus service continue to take the hardest hit by the ongoing job action by transit workers

The transit job action began Friday and since has effected TransLink services

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Day three of transit job action is leading to a third day of SeaBus cancellations.

A total of 16 sailings between Vancouver and North Vancouver have been cut for Sunday.

That includes the 1:30 p.m., the 3:30 p.m. and the 4:45 p.m from Lonsdale Quay, and the 1:45 p.m., 3:45 p.m., and the 5:00 p.m. from Waterfront.

In the evening, TransLink is cancelling 10 sailings, which will see service every 30 minutes instead of 15 minutes between 6:45 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. Regular 30 minute service will continue after 9:15 p.m. until the final sailing.

Maintenance workers are refusing to do overtime as bus drivers and SeaBus operators refuse to wear their uniforms.

The job action began Friday. As of Sunday, no new negotiations were scheduled.
