The search continues this morning for the woman who is believed to have left her new born baby in a Saskatoon alleyway

Police say the infant's body was found Friday morning in an industrial recycling bin

An autopsy to determine the cause of death is to be done on Tuesday

SASKATOON – Police in Saskatoon say they are investigating the death of an infant found inside a recycling bin in an alley.

They say officers who were called to the area this morning found the baby.

Police say evidence suggests the infant was born recently, but it’s believed it was at another location.

Investigators say it’s urgent that the mother be located as she may be physically and emotionally vulnerable.

An autopsy to determine the cause of the baby’s death is to be done on Tuesday.

Police are asking anyone who may have information to come forward.
