VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Contract talks will take place this weekend involving the operator of SkyTrain and its employees represented by CUPE 7000.
This is in addition to mediation that is scheduled starting next Thursday and into the middle of next month.
Union members voted almost unanimously Thursday to strike if they have to, but they can’t until the mediator leaves the talks.
This is a separate dispute than the one involving bus drivers and maintenance workers.
Meantime, no talks are scheduled around the bus and SeaBus drivers strike.
