Vancouver’s Battered Women’s Support Services marks 40 years with documentary, dancing

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) –  Vancouver’s Battered Women’s Support Services is marking 40 years of work on Nov. 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

The group provides education and advocacy with the goal of ending violence and promoting equality for women.

The 40th anniversary event, dubbed “40 Years Later,” will include music, dance performances, and the screening of a documentary detailing the role of BWSS in the global movement to end gender-based violence.

It starts at 7:00 p.m. at the Orpheum on Monday. You can buy tickets here.
