Who’s getting ready to shave? Movember ends on Saturday

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – You might be seeing a few less mustaches around the office this Monday.
Movember, the annual campaign that takes place through the month of November, comes to an end this weekend. Men grow out their moustaches to raise awareness of men’s health issues including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
One of the organizers, Sam Wilson, is optimistic about how much money they were able to raise this year.
“We’re hoping to break our record of $18 million,” he says.

In total, more than 250 men’s health projects have been funded for research and health services around the world since its founding in 2003.
