POWDR has other resorts in California, Colorado, Vermont, and Oregon.
Its ownership started immediately, though the previous owner of Silver Star, Jane Cann, will still hold on to some development land.
If you have a season pass for Silver Star, there’s no need to be concerned — Silver Star says there are no changes to those passes, or to operations.
More than three years ago, Whistler-Blackcomb was also sold to a U.S. company — Vail Resorts, which is based in Colorado.
