Water main bursts again in Burnaby neighbourhood

BURNABY (NEWS 1130) — Several homes in a Burnaby neighbourhood are drenched after a water main burst early Thursday morning.
It happened in the area of Gilmore Ave. and Dominion St. just after midnight.
The water has flooded some homes, and in some cases leaving as much as a foot of water behind.
But neighbours say this isn’t the first time.

“This has been the second water main break in this area and it floods into our carport,” one neighbour says, adding she has already lost a car as a result.
“I just had that car replaced in March when the previous water main broke. I’ll have to get this one replaced as well,” she explains.
The water main has since been shut off.
