The plot surrounds Pete “Maverick” Mitchell’s return to the Top Gun flight school as an instructor.
Cruise said at Comic-Con last summer that all the flying in the trailer is real and that “Top Gun: Maverick” is a love letter to aviation.
The movie hits screens on June 26, 2020, 35 years after the original was shot in San Diego.
