Expect bustling airports during busiest time of the year

RICHMOND (NEWS 1130) — Now that school is out, Christmas holidays are starting for many people and that means busy airports.
Isabella Beane from Maritime Travel says travellers should give themselves ample time to get to the airport.
“I believe today is the busiest travel day of the year,” she says. “But if they’re weather delays, pack your patience.”
On top of the usual reminders for air travel, Beane advises people to skip the wrapping paper before travelling.
“Don’t wrap Christmas presents because the likelihood is that they’ll be unwrapped when they check your bag,” she explains.
YVR says on their busiest days they can see upwards of 90,000 people travelling daily.
