VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — If you’re planning a trip stateside Friday afternoon you may want to pack a lunch…and a dinner.

Border crossings heading into the states began backing up Friday morning, with callers to NEWS 1130 reporting waits upwards of two hours at the Peace Arch crossing.

By early afternoon, Pacific Highway was the worst of all the bad options–with callers reporting waits of three hours or more.

The Aldergrove crossing boasts the shortest waits, but drivers using that option can still expect to be stuck for at least an hour.

Drivers coming into Canada were also backed up, with hour-long waits at the Blaine Crossings and 45 minute waits at crossings into the Fraser Valley.
