Alex Fraser Bridge open in both directions

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — Lanes have opened on the Alex Fraser Bridge in both directions.
All lanes were shut down Friday because of ice falling off cables.
At the time, the province said it is too windy to deploy the cable collar cleaning system.

The Ministry of Transportation is not aware of any vehicles damaged due to falling ice.

Meantime, listeners are calling in about slush bombs falling off the Port Mann Bridge. One caller’s windshield caved in after ice hit his car.
