BURNABY (NEWS 1130) — A man’s death in Burnaby Monday morning is believed to be connected to the drug trade, according to homicide investigators.

IHIT is pleading for information that will lead to an arrest in the death of 51-year-old Joseph Vincent Morrissey.

His body was found on 4th Street, near Robert Burnaby Park around 7:20 a.m.

“We do not believe Joseph Morrissey’s death was random,” says Sgt. Frank Jang. “We are appealing to those who knew Mr. Morrissey to help us answer the key questions of who was he meeting with and what he was doing prior to his.”


An autopsy will be done this week.
