Highway 1 reopens in both directions between Abbotsford and Chilliwack

CHILLIWACK (NEWS 1130) — Highway 1 between Abbotsford and Chilliwack has reopened in both directions.
Crews were forced to shut down Highway 1 between the Lickman Exit and Sumas Exit due to blowing snow and whiteout conditions Wednesday morning.
The weather created whiteout conditions along that stretch, making it unsafe for drivers.

Anyone driving is being reminded to slow down, leave plenty of room between you and other vehicles, ensure you have appropriate tires on, and drive to winter weather conditions.
