Two pedestrians in hospital after being struck in downtown Vancouver

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — Two people have been hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle in downtown Vancouver Sunday afternoon.

Emergency Health Services says one person was transported to hospital in critical condition, while the other is also suffering from serious injuries.

The incident took place around 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of Pacific Street and Richards Street.

A section of road was blocked for several hours for the investigation.

NEWS 1130 has contacted the Vancouver Police Department for details.
