BURNABY (NEWS 1130) — The victim of Sunday’s fatal shooting in Burnaby has been identified as 28-year-old Julian Johnson.

The Integrated Homicide Team says he was known to police and this seems to be a targetted shooting as part of an “ongoing Lower Mainland gang conflict.”

Burnaby RCMP responded to a call of shots fired around 6:30 p.m. near the Chevron station at Canada Way and Willingdon Avenue. Johnson was found with gunshot wounds and taken to hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
