Man arrested after jumping on, clinging to moving vehicle in Maple Ridge

MAPLE RIDGE (NEWS 1130) – A man’s been arrested after a bizarre incident was caught on camera Saturday afternoon.
A video posted to Facebook shows a man shouting and jumping on a dark-greyMazda 3 as it tries to make a right turn in the area of Dewdney Trunk Road and Laity Street in heavy traffic.
Even when the vehicle speeds up, the man hangs on — first to the hood, then to the passenger side door.
“He’s still on there. He’s all the way on there, he’s still going,” the person behind the camera can be heard saying, as the car slows a few blocks away after driving with the man hanging off of the door for some time.
It’s unclear what exactly prompted the incident, but Mounties say the two people know each other.
This incident was shared on social media before police received the video evidence, which caused much speculation,

There is always more to the before, during and after of an incident and not just a short video clip you see on social media.
The 30-year-old man is known to police and was apparently taken into custody for assault and mischief.
