LANGLEY (NEWS 1130) – Heavy smoke was seen across Langley Tuesday afternoon after a home went up in flames near 232nd Street and Fraser Highway.
Callers to NEWS 1130 reported seeing the plumes of black smoke, the acrid smell of the fire and the many firetrucks that rushed to the scene.
Darren Grieve in the Air Patrol was flying over the area and says the scene was blocked off as crews tried to douse the flames.

“We have four firetrucks on scene, the rest of the emergency crews are here as well. They’ve got the street blocked off as they work to contain it,” he says. “Looks like it’s down to smoke here, some fire inside the house, a lot of smoke coming from this one.”
Fire crews were eventually able to gain control and knock the fire down.
It’s not clear if anyone was seriously hurt, and a cause is yet to be determined.
