VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) –┬áTime is running out if you’re a Vancouver property owner who has submitted an Empty Homes Tax declaration for 2019.

Vancouver homeowners have one week left to file last year’s Empty Homes Tax declaration.

City staff are reporting applications haven’t been submitted for as many as 31-thousand properties.

A $250 late fee will be charged if that paperwork is not done by February 4th, but the tax is not due until April 16th.

The one per cent rate for 2019 climbs up to 1.25 per cent next year.
