Police warn of sex offender released from prison, living in Abbotsford

ABBOTSFORD (NEWS 1130) — A man convicted of multiple sex offenses was released from prison Monday and will be residing in Abbotsford, according to police.

Taylor Albert Dueck, 25, has committed multiple sexual assaults–including at least one with a weapon, and one where the victim was under 16 years old.

The Abbotsford Police Department has issued a warning saying he is bound by strict conditions, and is asking anyone who sees him in violation to contact police.

Dueck has a curfew requiring him to stay at home between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

He is also not allowed be in possession of or under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Weapons are similarly prohibited.

Police say not to approach Dueck if you see him breaching these conditions, and to instead call 911.

The warning has been issued in the “interest of public safety.”
