Man arrested after stealing, crashing tow truck in downtown Vancouver

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — A man has been arrested after stealing a BCAA truck that was towing another vehicle and crashing it into a Mobi bike rack in downtown Vancouver Thursday.
The Vancouver Police Department says the 41-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries before being taken to jail.
Charges are being recommended by police.

The crash happened near the intersection of Granville and Smithe Streets Thursday afternoon.
Police say it caused “significant property damage,” but no one other other than the driver was injured.
