Mounties search for missing Vancouver woman

BURNABY (NEWS 1130) — Friends and family of a missing Vancouver woman are distraught as the search for the 61-year-old continues almost a week later.
Monica Winter was reported missing on February 10 after not making it into work on Monday near Willow Street and West Broadway.
University RCMP say they began searching for Winter immediately after she was reported missing.

Burnaby RCMP located the woman’s blue Toyota Corolla near Fraser Foreshore Park the day she went missing.
According to Mounties, Winter’s bank card was last used at a grocery store three days before she went missing. She used her fob key in the parkade of her home near Gray Avenue and Wesbrook Mall on the same day around 6:20 p.m.

Mounties say Winter’s dog, Chloe, is also missing.
Long-time friend Laura-Leah Shaw says it’s highly unusual that Winter has gone missing.
“Just the kindest, nicest person anyone could ever meet,” she says.
“She is just such a wonderful person. Nobody could believe anything could happen to Monica.”
Winter is described as a white female, 5.5′ inches tall, and weighs 169 pounds.
