Vancouver Police, Hazmat team search downtown building in suspected drug case

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — Vancouver Police, fire crews and a Hazmat team have been spotted at a condo tower downtown.
Late Sunday morning, police executed a search warrant at a building near Seymour between Drake and Davie, in relation to a drug evaluation.

According to the VPD, the suite in question may contain traces of fentanyl, and because of that, a Hazmat team is on scene so “the search can be processed in a safe manner for police and the public”.
Vancouver Fire Rescue Services, Hazmat team and police are currently on the scene.
There is no current risk to the public.
