KAMLOOPS (NEWS 1130) – A crash near Kamloops has killed a father and his two young children from southern Alberta.

RCMP Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says their car went over a concrete barrier and down a steep embankment on Highway 5-A, close to Stump Lake, Sunday afternoon.

The driver, a 47-year-old man, died at the scene, she added.

The children, six and eight years old, were taken to Royal Inland Hospital, where they later died.

Shelkie said the cause of the crash is under investigation as the road was bare and dry at the time of the crash.
