Alberta man killed after fatal fall on Seawall

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A 26-year-old man from Alberta was killed after he fell onto the Seawall in Stanley Park on Sunday.

Vancouver Police say officers were called out to the area just below Prospect Point at around 8:30 pm.

Police say the man appears to have climbed over the fence that surrounds the area before he fell to his death.

Two friends who were with him do not appear to be part of the circumstances surrounding the accident.

The man has not yet been identified.

At this point, police believe this was an accident.

The VPD is now working with the BC Coroners Service as they investigate exactly what happened.
