Cyclist killed in Port Coquitlam car crash Saturday morning

PORT COQUITLAM (NEWS 1130) — A cyclist has died after being hit by a car in Port Coquitlam Saturday morning.

Mounties say the collision occurred in the area of Kingsway at the Coast Meridian Overpass.

The driver involved is co-operating with the police at this time.

Mounties say it’s not clear if speed, weather or alcohol were factors in the crash.

The intersection was closed for several hours as police investigated but Mounties have reopened the area.
