Abbotsford police arrest one man following reports of shots fired

ABBOTSFORD (NEWS 1130) – Police in Abbotsford responded reports of shots fired after residents heard a loud bang and saw smoke coming from a window of a home.

It happened in the 32000 block of Clinton Avenue at around 8:30 pm.

Upon arrival, officers noticed bullet holes in the home’s exterior walls, and believe that may have been shot from the inside of the home.

Inside the building, police spoke with a 23-year-old man who “appeared to be in mental distress”.

After an hour, the man surrendered to police without incident.

He was taken to hospital and then released into police custody.
