VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – The NBA has suspended its season “until further notice” after a Utah Jazz player tested positive Wednesday for the coronavirus.

The revelation came only hours after the majority of the league’s owners were leaning toward playing games without fans in arenas.

Now the game will completely be put on hold for the imminent future.

It’s not clear who the infected player is, with a release from the NBA only saying the player is on the Utah Jazz.

The test result was released just moments before tip-off at Wednesday night’s game between the Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder in Oklahoma.

The infected player was not in the arena.
