West Vancouver Police searching for hit and run suspect after 62-year-old man hurt

WEST VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Police in West Vancouver are looking for the person responsible for hitting a 62-year-old man before driving off.
Constable Kevin Goodmurphy explains the man was hit by a white SUV at 15th St. between Esquimalt Ave. and Fulton Ave.
“The person was struck and were on the hood of the vehicle for approximately half a block,” he says. “The person suffered injuries to their upper left arm, significant enough that they are in surgery having that repaired.”

That person was walking on the sidewalk when he was hit just before 10 a.m Wednesday morning.
The man has significant injuries but they are not considered life-threatening.
The vehcile involved is believed to be a 2001-2003 model Toyota Rav-4. It’s white and will likely have significant damage to the front end.
