VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — Massive winds whipped across the Lower Mainland and Sunshine Coast Saturday morning, leaving more than 34,000 people without power.
There is now a wind warning in effect for the Fraser Valley with winds of up to 90 km an hour recorded in Chilliwack, Langley and Abbotsford.

According to Environment Canada, “The wind will ease below warning criteria near midday but will remain blustery.”
Strong winds have toppled trees and power lines and left BC Hydro crews scrambling to restore power.
