Grouse Mountain set to close ‘until further notice’ due to coronavirus

NORTH VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — Grouse Mountain has joined the rapidly growing list of Metro Vancouver attractions set to shut down due to concerns over the COVID-19.
The popular ski hill made the announcement Monday afternoon, with the closure set to come into effect at 6 p.m.
“While we had hoped that we could continue to offer our guests a safe, outdoor place of escape, we are taking this action as a precaution. In light of the growing need to encourage social distancingwe have made the difficult decision to suspend our operations. We know that this is disappointing news and we did not take the decision lightly,” reads a statement from President Michael Cameron.

There will be no access to the mountain, all facilities will be closed and all activities cancelled.
