Vancouver police member tests positive for COVID-19

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — The Vancouver Police Department is confirming a sworn member has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
The person is recovering at home, says Const. Tania Visintin.

The VPD has not said where or how the member of the department contracted the virus, whether it was an on-duty officer or a member of the department in a different capacity.
No other information is being released due to privacy reasons, says Vancouver police.
Last week, RCMP confirmed it was dealing with its first six cases of COVID-19. At least one was in B.C.
