Fraser Health is confirming a home in Burnaby had one resident test positive, while a retirement community in Mission has two cases.

The infected people include a resident at the Swedish Assisted Living Residence and two residents at the Chartwell Cedarbrooke Retirement Residence.

According to Fraser Health, the three people infected are now in self-isolation in their homes in independent living.

A Fraser Health team remains in contact with residents and family members who may have been exposed to the virus.

Enhanced measures have also been put in place at both care homes, and include limiting the number of visitors allowed.

Staffing levels will also be maintained to provide care for residents, while cleaning and disinfection efforts have been ramped up.
