City of White Rock wins battle over height of new tower

WHITE ROCK (NEWS1130) – It’s a victory for the City of White Rock in a battle with a developer over the height of a tower in the Lower Town Centre.

The BC Supreme Court has ruled G.S.R. Capital’s tower must be capped at six storeys.

The developer had been lobbying for a 12 storey tower, but received massive pushback from local residents.

Mayor Darryl Walker is pleased to say such developments must meet the needs of the community while helping to create the White Rock was want to see in the future.
