TORONTO (NEWS 1130) — Rogers Sports & Media is joining Corus Entertainment and Bell Media for a star-studded, worldwide TV and streaming special, called One World: Together at home, to help in the fight against COVID-19.

The global broadcast and digital special, launched by Global Citizen, is on Saturday, April 18, in support of front-line healthcare workers and the World Health Organization.

Curated in collaboration with Lady Gaga, One World: Together at Home will include performances and appearances by Alicia Keys, Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Taylor Swift, Ellen DeGeneres, Elton John, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend and Shawn Mendes.

Besides Mendes, Canadians participating include Céline Dion, Jessie Reyez, Lilly Singh, Michael Bublé and P.K. Subban, as well as others.

The special event is to feature stories from doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers on the COVID-19 response.

The event will also highlight commitments from philanthropists, governments, and corporations to support and equip frontline healthcare workers around the world with masks, gowns, and other vital equipment.

It will also help local charities that provide food, shelter, and healthcare to those in need.

Other key performances and appearances: Paul McCartney, Pharrell, Billie Joe Armstrong, Eddie Vedder, Burna Boy, Camila Cabello, Amy Poehler, Andrea Bocelli, Chris Martin, Keith Urban, Stevie Wonder, and Sam Smith.

The event will air at 8 p.m. ET on: Rogers Sports & Media’s Citytv; Bell Media channels CTV, CTV2, TSN, CP24, MUCH, MTV, and in French on VRAK; on Corus channels Global; National Geographic; and ABC Spark.

Canadians can also listen to the special live on radio, including select Rogers Sports & Media stations across its Adult Contemporary and KiSS brands, as well as iHeartRadio, and Canada’s Virgin Radio stations.

Steaming options include Citytv.com, and the iHeartRadio Canada App, the CTV App, the Global TV App, globaltv.com, globalnews.ca, and etcanada.com.

Leading up to the global broadcast special, a six-hour event will be livestreamed beginning at 2 p.m. ET on Citytv.com and participating Rogers Sports & Media’s radio station websites, as well as CTV.ca, CP24.com, globaltv.com, globalnews.ca, and etcanada.com.

The streamed event will include performances and appearances from Adam Lambert, Andra Day, Angèle, Anitta, Annie Lennox, Billy Ray Cyrus, and others.
