MAPLE RIDGE (NEWS 1130) — A family of six escaped an early morning house fire Friday in Maple Ridge.
It started around 1 a.m. on Wicklund Avenue, and members of the family were reportedly woken up by a passerby who rang the doorbell after spotting the smoke and flames.
Everyone made it out safely, although a pet kitten was apparently missing.
It took firefighters about an hour to put the fire out and the house was badly damaged, according to reports.
