PORT COQUITLAM (NEWS 1130) — A Port Coquitlam man is facing an incredible 21 charges after police say they’ve spotted him driving dangerously on the roads multiple times over the past few weeks.
Ridge Meadows RCMP say since March 28 a black Mazda sedan was spotted several times speeding to get away from police.

Officers say they didn’t give chase out of safety concerns.
But then, last Thursday the sedan was spotted at a home in Port Coquitlam, and the suspect was eventually arrested.
After searching Christian Carlo Santos’s vehicle, Mounties also found firearms and ammunition.
The 34-year-old will remain in custody until at least May while he waits for his court date.
“The safety of the public and our officers is always the most important priority for police,” says Cst. Julie Klaussner. “Police knew they would get their suspect and, as this example shows, the investigation ultimately led to identifying the driver of the black Mazda and arresting the suspect when it was safe to do so, all while prioritizing public safety.”
