Body found in Vancouver’s False Creek not suspicious: VPD

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — A body was found in False Creek on Thursday, close to Science World.
The circumstances that lead to the body ending up in the water are not suspicious, according to Vancouver Police.
A body has been located in Vancouver’s False Creek, close to Science World. @VancouverPD say it does not appear to be suspicious.

“Late this morning, VPD officers have responded to a body which has been located in False Creek, close to Science World,” said Sgt. Aaron Roed.
“It is very early in the investigation and preliminary accounts show that this incident does not appear to be suspicious. VPD officers and the VPD Coroners Liaison unit are investigating.”
In a separate incident, earlier in the day, VPD confirmed a newborn baby was found dead inside a portable washroom on the Downtown Eastside.
