PORT COQUITLAM (NEWS 1130) — What Mounties say seemed to be a minor crash in Port Coquitlam has turned fatal now that a Pitt Meadows man has died.
On Sunday just before 5 p.m., Coquitlam RCMP says a red Subaru Outback collided with a grey Volkswagen Passat which then hit a white Chevrolet Colorado at the intersection of Mary Hill Bypass and Pitt River Road.
The driver of the Subaru and one his passengers, an 82-year-old man, were hurt and taken to hospital, but Mounties say their injuries appeared to be minor.
Just after midnight, the 82-year-old man died from his injuries.
RCMP now needs the public’s help to find more witnesses of the crash or the moments after.
Call Coquitlam RCMP non-emergency line at 604-945-1550 and ask for the Collision Team (file 2020-10802).
